Screening equipment is an important preliminary stage in the total pollution reduction process as it removes the bulk of the non biodegradable matter, such as plastics, woven materials, pieces of wood and metallic items from the sewage stream.
Screening removes materials from the liquid stream that contribute a small solid source of BOD or provide problems to mechanical equipment by blockages or impact damage.
The EPCO Australia range of Inclined bar, Curved bar and Manual raked bar screens are all designed for removal of screenings from the wastewater stream.
We also supply the EVA Heavy Duty Back-Raked screens for automatic removal of larger objects such as weeds and logs from inlet channels.
As a result of the increased volume of entrained sharp objects such as hypodermic syringes and the like, mechanical screenings handling equipment now has a higher profile in the process designer's strategy. Due to the emphasis on the safe removal of solids from the flow stream, EPCO Australia also offers screenings handling equipment as an option. A range of good quality, compatible screenings conveyors, dewatering presses and bagging units are available to provide a complete solution to your screening requirements.
Other screening systems available from EPCO Australia:
- Fine raked screens
- Spiral screens
- Band screens fine
- Perforated band screens
- Coarse raked screens for deep channels
