Flo-Screen XD
For applications which require extended discharge heights, the Flo-Screen XD has the capability of accommodating a solids discharge height of up to 10.6m (35 feet). This, added to the benefits and simplicity of a single ball screw drive, sets the Flo-Screen XD apart from the rest of the industry.
The incredibly simple, patented design of the Flo-Screen XD offers the following advantages:
- The new design is shorter than other units, so it can be installed in facilities where head room is an issue.
- The innovative shuttle system moves between the rake frame and the lift frame at the appropriate time during the cycle. This means a reduced number of parts, less cost, and easier maintenance.
- No deadplate is required.
- The entire unit is driven by a single ball screw.
- The ball screw is automatically lubricated.
- The positive wiping action is parallel to the rake surface.
Benefits
- Improved solids retention efficiency with angled bar screen design.
- More solids and grease removal through unique rake design and operation.
- Screw drive requires less maintenance than conventional rack and pinion drives.
- Fewer components to maintain and the convenience of above channel service.
- Better liquid flow with reduced turbulence and low head loss.
- Lower capital cost through fewer mechanical parts.
Technical Specifications
- Maximum screen width is 1.83m (6 feet). Multiple screens for wider channels.
- Bar spacing can be from 6mm - 50mm (1/4 inch to 2 inches.)
- Standard dump height to 10.6m (35 feet) from the bottom of the channel.
- Operating systems are fully hydraulic.
- Quick, easy installation without channel modification.
