Company Overview

The EPCO Organisation

Established in Melbourne in 1961, the company's range of Australian designed wastewater treatment equipment found a ready market both locally and later in overseas locations.

An agency was established in QLD in 1964, thence a thriving EPCO Pty Ltd branch office in 1968.

A change of company structure resulted in the EPCO Australia brand being established in QLD in 1978. Following the original EPCO Pty Ltd concept, the new organisation concentrated its activities on the design of equipment and processes for the treatment of municipal and industrial sewage and wastewater.

In addition to our well known 'in house' designed equipment, the company continues to expand its product range to provide clients with the latest available technologies.

The Equipment - In House

The company has extensive 'in house' design experience and equipment in such areas as:

  • Packaged sewage plants including auxiliary processes such as tertiary filtration, sludge handling and nutrient removal.
  • Sedimentation tank scrapers (clarifier mechanisms) for all types for primary, secondary and tertiary settling tanks.
  • Trickling filters (rotary distributors) and siphon equipment.
  • Digestion mixing systems, digester heating systems, tank roofs (fixed or floating), gas control equipment, viewing windows and level measuring devices.
  • Diffused air aeration systems.
  • Dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems.
  • Mechanical bar screens (curved,
    radial and inclined).
  • Comminutors.

The Equipment - Represented

EPCO Australia's management is very selective when choosing the company's represented range of products to ensure that we market only 'world best' technology, having proven performance and back up. This group includes:

  • Ultra violet water disinfection equipment.
  • Tank vents (safety valves), flame arresters, waste gas burners and gas control equipment.
  • Mechanical aerators - low speed (fixed or floating) in horizontal or vertical spindle configurations.
  • Mechanical aerators - high speed in floating vertical
    spindle configuration.
  • Solar-powered reservoir circulators.
  • Rotating biological contactors (RBC's).
  • Membrane bioreactors (MBR).
  • UF membrane filters.
  • Disk filters.
  • Continuous backwash sand
    filters.
  • Fine bar inclined screens.
  • Back raked screens.
  • Membrane air diffuser systems.
  • Sludge treatment equipment.
